About Harbour Wind

The Harbour Wind Initiative was formed in August 2008 to look at the feasibility of establishing a community-owned wind cluster in Banks Peninsula in the hope of taking it to fruition.

Although still in the feasibility stage, we are cautiously confident that a community-owned wind cluster is possible on Banks Peninsula. As such, in January 2009 Harbour Wind Ltd was formed to complete feasibility and undertake community consultation. The directors of Harbour Wind Ltd are the working group which consists of: Andrew Turner, Helen Hobson, Felicia Forbes, Lindsay Eaves, Chris Freear, Susan Ayton and Sam Masters.
